thinking about taking my first venture into full sized cans but limited to $100 gift card at best buy.. Im debating either to just look into some full sized cans or just get some ps3 video games lol... reason i say that is because i know bestbuy aint the best price on headphones, I could probably just order same phones cheaper online.

But im up to entertain what are some good decent sets that dont require an amp etc.

They carry Sennheiser Sennheiser : Over-the-Ear Headphones - BestBuy

Audio Technica Audio-Technica : Over-the-Ear Headphones - BestBuy

and Koss Koss : Over-the-Ear Headphones - BestBuy

Anyone see anything good for the price? They got the Koss UR40 for $29 right now, might be cool for a while. But the "video game" geek in me is sayin to just get some ps3 games and wait for a refurbished deal on some audio techinca pop up etc..

Audio sources are my 1st gen 30gb zune *sometimes*, and my x-fi sound card pc.

If you're a gamer, drop everything and buy the ATH-AD700 NAO! With that $100 giftcard, you'll be CLOSE to paying a decent price out of pocket.

hahaha, no.

what a waste of a gift card. spend it on something that isn't stupidly priced or sell it for 80-90% of the value.

Lol, agreed. Best Buy sucks, period. Can you return gift cards?

AD700 can be bought for $65 refurbished or less than $100 new from Amazon. Just sell the gift card and use the cash to buy what you want from where you want.

The Koss UR40 for $29.00 is really a piece of garbage ($29.00 isn't going to buy you anything worthwhile). And Best Buy sells nothing but highly overpriced goods. So, sell the card for $80 or $90 and get yourself a decent pair of headphones in the $100 range.

actually, the UR40 uses KSC75 drivers, and they are quite nice. I've heard them.

They are certainly not garbage. Please don't say things like that until you've done a bit of research.

That said, I'd still sell it and get the AD700's for $65.

Dude, if you are stuck buying from best buy, Senn HD 280 all the way man. Add a few bucks for tax and enjoy, they are on the list of the top 5 best under 100 bucks. They are without a doubt the best for under 100 bucks on best buy.

either that or sell that card on ebay or craiglist for 90-95 bucks and buy something nicer from where ever you want when you get the cash.

Buy games with the gift card and save up and purchase some headphones later.

Especially if your not sure what to purchase, you should do some research on a pair that might fit what you're looking for.

Regrettably, the ATH-AD700's are $149 now on Amazon. That sucks because they were $89 for I don't know how long...
