I thought these monitors would let me down, but damn do they sound good. I was using a cheap Logitech 2.1 setup which sounded good. But the midrange kills the Logitech setup... Bass depth may be lacking, but its punchy and in no way intrudes into the other frequencies. For the price they are a steal

Plus they look insanely good! If anyone is after a pair of good priced actives, give these a shot.

I've been looking into DIYing a pair of speakers with HiVi drivers. Happy to hear these are nice.

I think you would get a good pair of speakers together if you used some HiVi drivers. Im already looking at a pair of HiVi floorstanders for my main tv/ps3 loungeroom setup, maybe even go all out and nab some Quads or B&W floorstanders.
