so.. how reliable are the new ipods?

i have a chance to get one for pretty cheap, but i have been reading a bunch of horror stories about the touch and classic on engadget and googles news... anyone experience any problems so far? also from threads in this forum the previous ipods apparently had sub par audio performances when compared to iriver, meizu etc.. does that still hold true with the new ones?

NO... without the use of any EQ-features (EQ on ipod still sucks) the classic sounds on the same high level

At the end of the day, you will find both fans and haters of the ipod's SQ.

If you are concerned about quality control, I'd suggest you buy from a store with a generous return policy (Target, Best Buy), then you'll have no worries.
