A store has the UE900S at a heavy discount, i know that they were in the same tire as the Earsonics SM3 Westone W30 and the Shure SE535,

but a lot of things have changed since 2014... Are they still worth it ?

In my opinion for the price they go for, no. There are plenty Chinese options that smash them. I had UE900 for a bit then got the Fischer Amps FA4E XB which had a very similar sound signature but slightly improved in many aspects. Options from FLC, Ibasso, Orivetti, the LZ A4, Flare Audio, Dunu, Fidue are just simply at the same level or slightly better and cheaper.

It's a good phone though. It has a nice emotional quality to it with a full sound with the right source.
