So, yes it works.

But sadly only for one song. Then an error occurs.
To try it you have to start in the music app settings with Dolby Atmos off and then switch it on to always. Then the song just playing will switch to 5 channels.

I know it is a long shot but maybe enabling eARC in the A16 help?

To everyone who has updated their HT firmware, I am struggling to update my HT using the A16 2.0 firmware: it says that no update are detected in my SD card with the 2.0 firmware..?
I need to mention that i have the 1.10 HT firmware from may 2019 and didn t updated it since.
Do I need to update the HT using the old A16 Firmware? If yes, which one?

Does anyone know the correct audio settings for an Xbox Series X in order to get Atmos on the A16? My Xbox runs to a splitter, which goes to my TV and the A16. I have HDMI audio out on the Xbox set to bitstream, but what should the format be? The relevant options are Dolby Digital and Dolby Atmos for home theater. It will let me select Dolby Digital but not Dolby Atmos because "my receiver doesn't support Atmos." The A16 currently thinks it's getting two-channel PCM from the Xbox.

I know from experience that you want bitstream out and Dolby Atmos for home theater. Does you splitter support passthrough of audio formats like Atmos?

Theoretically. Maybe the problem is that for some reason the Xbox doesn't recognize the A16 as being Atmos compatible?

Not sure what the problem is. Did you update your A16 to rev. 2.0
Did this work?
If yes, it is about the Head Tracker update? Did you use the method described?
In summary, once the A16 firmware 2.00 installation has completed and you have run the factory restore, plug the head tracker you wish to update into the User A HT socket. Navigate to settings>system>HT settings. Go down to ‘Update HT firmware’ and press enter to begin. On completion navigate to settings>update/about to confirm the new HT firmware revision has been installed. Alternatively, return to the speaker map page for user A and press the HT key.

suggest you re download the firmware from the website, re-do the firmware update, make certain it updated to the correct firmware and then do the h.t firmware update. After that you will need to do a factory reset. Prior to that make certain anything (Prirs, HPEQs) in the recycle bin that you wish to retain has been saved to the micro sd card b/c the recyle bin will be wiped.

So once the 2.0 firmware installed, do i need to update the HT firmware before the factory reset of after?
That is a very good question, I think the firmware release notes are not really very clear about this.

Well, tried a bit of everything like re install the 2.0 firmware and tried HT firmware update before the factory reset but still nothing ..it says no updated file found in the sd card for the HT firmware...
Anyone who has successfully installed the HT firmware with the 2.0 firmware yet?
