I am new to Kickstarter and don't know how it typically works, but this proposal seems odd to me. For example, I don't see the point of raising 100K given an apparently much larger investment in R&D to date.  I guess I would be more inclined to partake in Kickstarter if it was a make or break scenario for the product. Maybe someone with more knowledge of these things can elucidate: is the goal really to just raise 100K?

The goal is to raise at least £100K. I would be more inclined to back a project when I know the company has a solid track record, rather than backing a project from a new company that might never deliver and loose money. I guess they are raising funds to allow larger production runs, in order to cut down on manufactoring costs.

Supported the project!

The Kickstarter did begin an hour before they said in the email, but even so it looks like the project is already 1/4 funded! Kiiiiinda cool.
It's definitely a financial stretch for me, I talked about it today to my friends, my my customers at work, and my fiancé, but eventually I decided I could swing it (and I don't have to sleep on the couch tonight!). For anyone curious, I was the 31st backer, and it looks like there's still 168 early bird priced units available (about $1k USD, price after Kickstarter will be $1600).

I heard the A8 back in er..2011 I think, dreamed of having one ever since, but it was too expensive for me. The A16 price is an absolute bargain and backing the kickstarter for 40% discount is a no-brainer. I'll be hearing it again at CanJam with my wife and I'm confident that once she's heard it too she'll agree with me.

# 60, glad to make it
I've learnt from the LH Labd geek Pulse, now I won't worry about the deadline, just let them do what they can, I will forget about it until the unit show up on my door.
1 question: so does it mean the Set top unit can be placed further in the room, and acted as a receiver for head tracking system. THe headtracking unit is connected by wire close to the main body?
