What did you guys pay on MassDrop? I just checked the Shenzen website and the price is down to $212.49. Does Massdrop go down to $200.00?

Thanks!

Yes, $200.

That's what I thought I read. Thanks for the feedback!
But they're probably charging Canadians an $8.00 to $10.00 shipping charge.

Hello. I know we have members from around the world here, but I wanted to try speak to a much narrower group of readers. I am located in Halifax, Nova Scotia in Canada. I came across a thread where a Head-Fi'er had wondered about organizing a get together in Halifax. I wanted to post in this thread and talk to anybody that lives in or around Halifax or even if you were planning to visit the area in June. Just food for thought. If anyone is interested, you could post a reply in https://www.head-fi.org/threads/halifax-ns-meetup-2019.905499/

It would be cool if we could find five or six people with a few cool toys each. It could be a very interesting afternoon or evening.

Specs is the same, SU-8 is better as it has balance output connection from the DAC to the Amp. The only downside is that there is no black color to match black amp.

SMSL SU-8 is back on MassDrop today. $200.00, plus $12.00 shipping up here in Canada. Same as buying it from China for $212.49 when it's on sale (free shipping), which has been twice in the last month. With China purchase you get full one year warranty and 30 day return period. Not sure if MassDrop offers those features.

[QUOTE =“Shane D,帖子:14959975,成员:131892”] SMSL SU-8今天回到了MassDrop。200.00美元,再加上12.00美元在加拿大运送。与在中国购买时的价格为212.49美元一样,在上个月销售两次(免费送货)。购买中国产品,即可享受一年保修和30天退货。不确定MassDrop是否提供这些功能。

I got mine from Shenzhen late December. Took only 3 days to ship to me from Hong Kong. Opposed to the THX 789 I got from Massdrop which took a full 2 weeks from day of shipping from the US. You'll also pay less on taxes when you pick up the item, thanks to Shenzhen doing you a little favor with regards to specifying the value of the product :ok_hand:

You would do better to ask Wallboy that already has both. But I think that would be a great match up! Those 789's are near impossible to get.

I am going to buy from Shenzhen. Once I get any kind of update on my OTG cable I will be watching for sales and scoop one up. Hopefully in the next two weeks.

You have a great combo there! What kind of headphones are you running?

Right now a pair of K712 Pro which I've been using for a good 4+ years, but have been looking to upgrade real soon. Thinking maybe a ZMF Aelous.

Have you ever tried any Grado's? My current favourite is the Grado GH2's combined with a Burson Fun-Classic amp.
I would LOVE to hear these through your combo! Or my Beyer T5p.2's.

When I first got into the Headfi scene some 10+ years ago I started with a Beyerdynamic DT 770 80-Ohm. I then moved on to a AKG K701 until the left channel stopped working on them due to a loose wire. I Tried self repairing them, but didn't have any luck. I really liked the sound signature of them and decided to try something different, yet somewhat similar and that's how I arrived at the K712 Pro. But after all these years, I still think I preferred the K701's (with a much needed bass EQ increase). I still go back to the DT770's when I feel like cranking some old DnB tunes.

I've always loved the look of Grado's, but never got a chance to try any.
