Alright guys, lately I've been having some doubts when it comes to audio stuff, and so I thought I might as well get it cleared up by asking it here. Also, it's my first thread here hehe.
So here's the thing: I'm planning to get a pair of DT990(250Ω) sometime soon, and by what I saw, and some people said, this DAC of my choice is not capable of driving the 990's.

Is it really not capable of driving them?
Also, I dislike the volume control on it, so could I hook it up to a Behringer HA400 Amp instead, or would that compromise SQ?

If this DAC isn't capable of driving them, can somebody list me a few of them who could do the job, preferably Portable/Small Size?

Thanks.

Hello,

I had the DT990 250 Ohm and at that time I've use it mostly with a FiiO E10.
Now there's an updated version called E10K. It's a desktop USB DAC/Amp.
If you want something with a built in battery, the FiiO Q1 should works fine as well.

Both can drive the DT990 250 to pretty loud levels without distortion and both will reveal DT990's nature.
