It seems that most TWFK IEMs suffer from sibilance or overexuberant treble energy. In fact, I haven't met a Knowles that wasn't sharp in the treble.

Which TWFK-based IEM, current or discontinued, was the smoothest? i.e. one that doesn't suffer from treble being tinny and overly sharp.

As I understand it, VSonic VC1000 < FA DBA-02 MkII < DBA-02 MkI / Brainwavz B2 < Rock-It R-50 in terms of treble sharpness / sibilance. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Is there a TWFK out there that is smoother than the VC1000?

FYI, my smoothness reference point is a Shure SE535.

Brainwavz B200 is quite smooth.

B200 isn't TWFK.

I'm looking at TWFK specifically, not just any Dual BA.

Other TWFK IEMs to consider

VSonic GR01
UE700
Q-Jays
EXS X20
Audio Technica CK10
Astrotec AX7

From reviews, I've gathered that the two smoothest will be GR01 and X20. Anyone ever listen to either?

LZ-A4. a hybrid. smooth as a baby's bum. can even go smoother because you can dial in your sound. I'm not sure if it's a TWFK, but it's a Knowles' dual fo' sure.
There's also the Dn-2000 that's got a TWKF...

Neither of these are Dual BA's, they're Dual BA hybrids. It's easy to smooth it out when you can use crossovers and a dynamic driver.

thanks for reminding me! here, let me make it up: Rose Mini2.

just shy over 100$ pretty good resolution, I've had hifichris do a little comparison for me with the it03 in terms of resolution and performance.

Is it a TWFK or just a dual BA? This thread is just to compare the TWFK Dual BA's only. I haven't been able to confirm that the Mini2 is a TWFK.

Knowles a twkf? it's going two different Knowles configurations inside them. Might consider that in the future.

A TWFK is a specific Knowles implementation of 2 BAs. I do have other non-TWFK IEMs in my collection. But this thread's purpose is restricted to TWFK non-hybrids only.

I don't think you understand....The dual BA in TWFK IEMs is model # TWFK-30017-000. Is that what's in the Mini2?

My thoughts are the GR01.

TWFK-31082 is smoother than TWFK-30017...

All the IEM is designed on 30017 except

Rock-it r50

It is one of the smoothest TWFK

The gamechanger is Fiio FH5(4 way, but the treble control due to TWFK usage is phenomenal).
