I don't want a dedicated DAP but a smartphone that sounds so good that it doesn't have to be ashamed of audiophiles like me. In addition, it should also be fast enough to be able to use it as a mobile phone. So now to the question of which smartphone 2022 (including the past few years) is the best sounding on the market

My opinion is that smart phones are not up to the sound quality level of very good DAPs. Are any able to play high resolution files such as PCM as high as 192khz? Can any play DSD files, let alone DSD256... do any use high level chips such as ESS, AKM, etc.?
My DAP has both and plays files up to DSD256... It also has a balanced connection and drives my Abyss Diana Phi's perfectly. No smart phone could do any of that. My DAP is two years old now so I assume that the new ones can do even more!

Or just get the smartphone of your choice and add a dongle (e.g. Questyle M12). This approach doesn’t add much bulk but gives you more flexibility.
