Smallest amp-less crossfeed unit?

What would be the smallest, most portable crossfeed unit for amp-less use?

I'm thinking of something like the XinFeed , but can be used directly from:
headphone output -> crossfeed -> headphones

Most crossfeeds are designed to be used before an amp as well, and i'm wondering if theres a technical limit to building one for amp-less use. There is supposed to be a significant loss of volume/gain in most crossfeeds, but are there no designs that compensates for this?

The simpliest is probalby the X-Feed click here

I guess if you want smaller you can take the same design and use smd to do it

EDIT:Oups! I just saw the XinFeed for the first time and I should have known you cannot best Xin for small crossfeed
