Always black. I listen to my music mostly in the dark, and I like to have the equiptment dis-appear in the background. I am also big about the equiptment not having any lights. If it has lights, they need to be dimmed.

Its this cute little toy that is teasing me with total evil... (the color is for a Tomahawk). Pico is an amp/dac, portable, smaller than a Toma, and drives hd650 to ear-blistering volumes. Neat, eh?
