Hmmmm...

As title says really.

Looking basically for a closed version of the PortaPro's. Those PX200's looked like they might fit the bill, but apparently they're pretty neutral-sounding...

Something in the Sony world will probably suit the bill. They almost always lean towards clear and bassy for their modestly priced offerings. The JVC flats are supposed to be excellent too, for the price.

The JVC Flats HAS160 has a decent amount of bass, however I wouldn't call it a bassy headphone. The JVC HAS650 plenty of bass.

I guarantee it's more than neutral. It's probably on the level of PortaPros, they're not really the pinnacle of quality, rattling bass.

Porta-pro is pretty bassy already IMO, JVC Flats no way, maybe you can try the HTF600 and use them on the go?

The AKG K450 and K518 are rather bassy. At least the K450 should be same size. The K518 just slightly bigger..

The JVC HAS160 has decent bass, however it is not extra bass. The bass is in proportion to the other frequencies and not exaggerated. The JVC HAS650 has much more bass than the HAS160.
