Hello All,

I’m looking for a new player with good sound quality to be used as a very portable setup, basically minimum space taken with good sound quality.

I don’t require video capabilities, a screen isn’t necessary, MP3 up to 320Kbps would be great along with a capacity of 1 to 2GB or greater - Size and SQ is the factor here.

So far the following have caught my eye;

mobiBLU Boxon;

mobiBLU Cube2;

iRiver S10;

ZEN Stone;

A couple of the Cowons have caught my eye like the iAudio 6 and the iAudio F2; however, I don’t know if these would be suitable.

Any advice on an ultra portable good sounding setup would be appreciated.

BTW, how big are the Vibez compared to an iPod as I would like to try one out but I would really like to hang on for the iAudio x7?

Cheers,

Jason

Samsung YP_T9(shows rich details in mids) are awesome match with Shure IEMs and Cowon D2 are also one of best sounding mp3 player.

Cheers ZARIM,

I'll investigate the Sammy and I've fancied the D2 for a couple of weeks, however, I fear the D2 will be too big for my needs and there's no where for me to check them out.

I think you won't be disapointed with T9 or D2(both are great). It's(T9) overall sound quality is realy great and mids are realy awesome with great highs and great bass. It's also very small with 1.8in screen(bigger than Nano) and features are incredible like long battery life, video playback, FM radio, on the go playlist ect.

Rio Carbon may also be another possibility if you could fine one. I'm sure someone around here will give it a stellar review.

I ended up ordering the COWON D2, it's about twice the size (if not bigger) than I would have liked but as I said; I've fancied the D2 for a couple of weeks.

And oh my, is this thing good, the size issue for the time being has gone out of the window and I'm glad I finally decided to try this device out.
