looking for some rather cheap, durable, very small IEM's to pair with the ipod nano i baught my little sis. shes been using my AKG K240's with her phone and a headset adapter id made for my phone last year.

she knows the K240's sound liek garbage from her phone, so shes been stealing my e2c's alot lately, but they dont fit her little ears.

so, whats relatively small for her and maybe under $50?

IEMs and canalphones aren't interchangeable. IEMs are what musicians use to monitor their playing, so audiophiles use them to capture more detail in their music. There's no such thing as a $50 IEM (or there is but I haven't heard of it yet <_<). Canalphones are like earbuds but they go deeper into your canal.

Anyways, JVC Marshmallows might be what you're looking for. $10 canal phones + great quality for the price.

IM716 is ER4P, but for $85 shipped. Best IEM deal -- EVER.

But, they might not fit my ears. . . they seem to go pretty deep and fit very snug in my ears. They could prolly be modded, tho.

Altec Lansing stopped giving support for them, so once the earbuds are destroyed, so is the IEM

not sure if kids whos ears are still developing should use IEM´s or canalphones, but,

i tried the FX33, and i can say i wouldnt want my kids listening to a heaphone with NO isolation and such harsh sound, its a bad combo, the scraping sound and having to listen at a high volume to compensate the non existant isolation is bad combination,

i would go to the koss KSC75, senss PX100/PMX100, or a cheap pair of audio techs ath-CK5,

You should get her a KSC75 instead, tho... they fit everyone's ears.

Actually, a friend of mine to whom I sold my K81DJ's has an elf ear on one ear, so the ksc's don't sit on his ear right. Thus, not fitting his ear's

The best IEM that I know of for a cheap price are probably the Jays d-jays. I think those run for a little cheaper than the low-end IEMs like the Er6i and the Super.fi 3 studio. You can probably get the D-jays for a good price, and then just give your little sister the e2c since she likes them. There is also the Metro.fi from UE aswell.

If he'd turn them upside down, so that they grip the upper part of his ear, it'd work. *That* is the way that they fit everyone's ears... Put on right side up, they don't stay on ears without lobes.
