I'm looking for suggestion for a small footprint CDP. I will be using it in the bedroom system with a MG Head. Right now I am using a Panasonic 570 PCDP or iPod. They sound pretty good. Just looking for alternatives.

The Tivoli looks, very interesting. Wonder how it sounds? Should be better that PCDP.

Up the ladder in terms of price & performance is Audio Note Zero - transport & tubed DAC. Very small footprint...

Depending on your budget you could also consider the CD Playersfrom Cyrus. I haven't heard them myself but I have only headr good things about them. And they get quite favorable reviews in all magazins that revied them.

and the footprint of those players is rather small indeed.

The Cyrus players are supposed to be exceptional. If you stumble upon one of these, (difficult as there are no US distributors), snatch it up! Not cheap though.

i love mine, very detailed.

I'll try to find them, but I've heard some mixed reviews of the ZERO cdp. The DAC is supposed to be excellent though.

I have never heard this player but radrd has one, and I respect his choices. It has a small footprint, but it might be hard to find. I have seen them on audiogon.

I just won a NEC CDR-602 on ebay today that I'll be using as a transport. Might want to check it out.

ditto andrzejpw. I listened to the NEC CDR-602 at Hirsch's place this weekend during the DC meet. This was through the analog outputs to a Fisher 400 tube amp and AKG-K1000's. The sound was surprisingly good! I think I am going to pick one of these up too. $20 or so on e-bay so you really can't go wrong.
