SL-1200MK2 turntable from pawnshop - thoughts?

Not sure if this is the right place for this (or if there is one), and I apologize if it isn't.

Saw this listing for a crazy price, though the turntable is pretty worn around the edges. Do you think it's worth inquiring about? If so, what questions do you think I should ask first and foremost?

I'd be upgrading from an AT LP-120 and carrying over a Shure whitelabel cartridge. I know I'll be needing a preamp as well.

Looks like it's had a hard life. I personally wouldn't, but if they'll let you demo / have a sane return policy, maybe check it out.

Oh well, seller sold it this morning and never pulled the listing :/

Just found out there's a guy in my neighborhood selling an SL-23 in good condition for $250. Might be the move for me...
