how big are these headphones compared to say some eggos? right now I have some grado sr60's but they leak way too much and I'm looking for something to use at school and such. Are the v6's easily transportable? My friend has a v600, how do they compare to these? Any opinions would help a lot

The V6s are on the right. Here is the thread he posted the pics in: http://www.t-station.net/forum/showt...t=crazy+have+I

The V6s are recommended, but don't get the v600s.

unless you're running 3 x 10 inch subs in your car with an otherwise stock system, you're probably not going to like the v600s very much.

The V600's are HORRIBLE.

The V6/7506 are a good headphone.. hI have a somewhat big head, with kindof big ears. They almost completely fit inside the earcups, but not quite. They suck in automobiles. The low frequency rumble for some reason cancels out the low frequencies the headphones produce, revealing baseless music. They isolate fairly well, though.

Personally I wouldn't say they're horrible. I don't think that they're good though. From first hand experience, there's just this huge bloated section of bass that rolls off to kind of give you that boomy, washing the fidelity out of the rest of the soectrum, kind of sound.

Ok so maybe they're bad. But not horrible....

Ah screw it, I give up. I got Torgon errands to run.

So it they are no good in a car, they might not be good to take on the plane either. What do you think?

I wouldent chance them on a plane either.

usc goose, are you talking about the V6/7506? I've never heard the V6, but apparently they sound the same. Not sure why so many people say the 7506 has such bloated bass, because it's not any more bloated then the midbass of the HD600s, Grados, or at the worse the DT770 Pro's which have sickeningly bloated bass that isnt even coloration, rather distortion in it's severeity. I still can't understand how some people can enjoy this headphone with anything other than classical since it's less apparent, and the disgustingly low response helps with low frequency instruments (I can hear a clean 15hz on those things without elevating the volume much running response tests.)

I've owned the V6s for a long time. I just got a pair of D66 Eggos a couple of days ago. The pictures are a bit deceiving. The Eggos are a good deal more portable than the V6s. They weigh a lot less and the size when folded is smaller.

So far, I'm very happy with the sound of the Eggos even though they are not really broken in yet.
