In the article about it he shares a simple schematic for a headphone amp.
It was used as a simple example to illustrate the article.
I'm wondering what people think of the viability of it as a design.

That circuit is essentially the Szekeres amp, also found in the headwize library.

I think that schematic leaves out the active current source that I believe the F5 uses.

It's a standard design that you learn when you start studying transistors.
