Hi,

Does anyone know of any headphones that have a similar sound as the AKG K167's?

I've used many headphones in the past but when I purchased a pair of the K167's, to my ears the sound was perfect, but the build quality on them is dire, had two pairs break (headband) within a few months, so I'm looking for a more robust headphone with a similar sound.
I've tried the ATH M50X's but I find the bass overpowering, luckily I was able to send them back to Amazon for a full refund..,

If anyone could help I'd be very grateful as I don't know how many times I'll be able to buy and return!

Don't know the K167's so don't know but I agree the bass on the 50's is not so much overwhelming but very muddy to me. When you ask for suggestions a good thing to put in the inquiry is a budget that will help others to help you fine tune your search.
