Anybody else have this problem? I have a BMW 540i and have the auxiliary audio input (3.5mm stereo plug to aux input on car head unit). While I wanted to use the line out on my Ipod (as I do portably, with a Xin Supermicro)for all the right reasons, the SIK Imp's line out waaayyy overpowers the head unit and produces horrible distortion. At first I though it was a faulty BMW aux input install, but when I switched to the headphone out and dialed the volume up on the iPod, it sounded great at all head-unit volume levels. I'll live that way for now (SIK Imp simply used as a car charger), but it's clearly not the straighest/cleanest signal path to use. Thanks,

It seems that line out with the SiK cable is quite loud. The quality is great, but it doesn't allow for delicate volume control on my headphone amp. The (balance?) of the sound suffers sometimes because I can't turn the volume up sufficiently.

So loud that I can't use it at any volume in the car. I suppose I could have an attenuator built inline or something, but then it could get as kludgy/degraded as the headphone out. So far, the headphone out sounds fine, what with all the ambient noise of a car environment. I just want a purer solution. thx,
