Basically I'm thinking of sidegrading/upgrading my headphone to have something different.
Keep in mind I will no doubt have the 'proper' amplification and source to give most headphones significant justice so these aren't really an issue too much.
* I listen to all genres
* I don't think the AKG sound is to my liking so don't recommend me the K701's
* The more super detail, the better
* Wide soundstage so no Grados unfortunately
* Medium amount of bass is sufficient. Other spectrums = can be endless but I like a balanced sound more than anything else since I listen to all genres.
* I prefer a 'medium fullness' sound but don't mind too much if it's thin sounding or super-full sounding.
I was thinking of the Sony SA3000 but I haven't found out to much luck how it compares to a '03 or '05 DT880 so any information (the more info the better
) on the comparison of these two = great.
With the amount I have read up, these two do sound quite similar.
EDIT: To be honest, reading up, I don't get why the 'mid-fi' Sonys (SA1000, SA3000) don't get as much love as they should around these parts.
