I'd avoid SE530 with the original iphone, they're hissy.
Otherwise, any Shure I've tried has worked out ok.

I used to use my old E2C's that worked great with my 3g, and without hiss, so can imagine that more modern ones will be just fine.
I now use my Audio Technica CKM70's that work better.

I don't use them very often, but I think the Shure e3c is just fine from my 3G iPhone.

SE530 with the 3G iPhone is a very good combination. I ran that until I got a new Nano.
