I was wondering about the Shure warrenty...

I bought a pair of e3c's from someone here on Head-fi.

And they are now broken. The acutal case of the earbuds are cracked and are now loose.

I have the warrenty papers, and was concerned about the proof of purchase.

They were previously purchased online, and contain a shipping address and contact information.

I think if I were to just send them information about the difference in address, it would be alright. Say I tell them, It was a gift.

To sum it all up... Will the proof of purchase be valid if address does not match, and is the warrenty transferable with the proof of purchase.

Thanks in advance.

i had the same experience, and i destroyed my e2s. Just call shure, tell them your e3s are broken, they will ask you to fill out their form and send it in.

Great company.
