I was wondering whether there are any fake Shure SRH840's around. I have seen a pair of brand new ones at a very low price from a genuine website and am tempted to get it. Is there any way of spotting fakes?

I have never heard of any and would be very surprised if anyone went to the trouble to make SHR-840 fakes. 840's are not really popular or well known enough with average consumers for anyone to bother making fakes. If there were any Shure fakes out there my guess would be their IEMs. You can look into the company/seller, but i wouldn't sweat it too much.
