I'm not a bass-head by any means so detail is a priority for me. The fact that the se535 are more portable is a big bonus for me but also don't want to sacrifice sound quality. Also, since I will be listening in places like the library I really don't want any sound leakage.

I have to disagree. The Shure SE535 has a descent soundstage with a good DAC, even better than some closed headphones.

Different head, ears, and brain = different soundstage interpretation.

I've not heard the P7 but the Shures are the most comfy iems i've owned and pretty enjoyeable to listen to..

I have both, I prefer the P7.

Each has its own place for me. For travel I use the SE535 since they are very portable and have decent sound. For the office I use the P7s. Both have good isolation and minimal sound leakage.

How much better is the P7 than the Shure SE535? I'm currently using the Shure SE535 for in the office and for travel.
 
I have the B&W P5 (which is worse than the Shure SE535) and was thinking of upgrading it to the B&W P7.

I find it quite a bit better. It has a richer, fuller sound. I feel more engaged with the music when I use the P7.

I also have a Momentum over-ear, which I used in the office prior to the P7. I now use the Momentum for commuting. It is lighter and more comfortable (at
least for me, as my ears just fit). They are close in sound quality, probably a matter of individual preference when it would come to choosing between the two.
