hello you lovely people...

i browsed the forum and most of you trully seem to know what youre talking about, so i really feel in good hands here.

my problem is: i love(d) my e2c's and when i used them for the first couple of months, they were heaven. but they spoilt me and its annoying me more and more how nasal they sound and how almost nonexistent the bass is. i am not a professional musician, but i have EXTREMELY sensitive ears and want my music to sound right.

my question: are the SE530PTH really what theyre said to be and are they really worth the money?

its aloooot of money, but music means the world to me, so if theyre all theyre said to be, i am seriously considering to get them.

or would you suggest something else? a dear friend of mine who's been working as a roadie for decades told me to go for sennheiser instead.

I absolutely love my E500's. (They're the exact same phones as the E530's.)

The fit/comfort is truly wonderful. If you can handle the slightly rolled off highs (I can, esp when on the go) then they are just about perfect.

I also own the E500's and they are incredible! I'm a musician also, and trust me when I tell you that you will fall in love with these within minutes of listening. I did a ton of research to find the best IEM's and these were it!

SE530 sounds really good with amp, but not w/o Amp.

Triple.fi 10 pro is much better than SE530 without AMP. More Airy and better soundstage.

coming from the E2C the E500 (same as SE530PTH) are shockingly detailed and tonally balanced while still being fun. They are definitely worth the $280-300 you can buy them for on e-bay these days. At list price, I would probably wait and see what people have to say about the Westone 3.
