Shure SE315 - Punctured filter/screen in earphone canal

Just got the Shure SE315s a couple weeks ago, noticed a 90% drop in sound volume coming from the left earbud. Used the cleaning tool to remove all visible earwax down to the fine wire mesh screen/filter in the earphone canal. Looked perfectly clean but still the problem persisted. 
Upon applying just a bit more pressure, it appears I ruptured this screen. Sound came back to normal volume levels but is now noticeably more "tinny" in the left earbud without the screen in place. Is there any alternative to sending into Shure for repair? Still in warranty but unsure whether this will be covered for free and am not thrilled about going two weeks without the phones.
