I found the Shure's on eBay (YES I know about Shure fakes.)
This guy's a powerseller with a load of good feedback.

The Klipsch's are 50% with the "Half off" coupon code, directly off the Klipsch site.

I've heard great comments and reviews on both, and choices, unfortunately, make things much more difficult! So tell me what you think...

EDIT:
which ones reduce outside noise the most?
which ones have better bass response?

Also take into consideration that I listen primarily to:
-Heavy Rock
-Alternative Rock
-Alternative
-Techno

-I DON'T listen to: classical, punk, country.

I'm trying to figure it out too. But I'd go for the Klipsch if I was you. I'm trying to figure out between Custom -3 and Super.fi 5 EB

It really is a tough decision... And I only have about 10 days to decide :p

I was thinking about the Custom 3's as well, but I'm equally concerned with quality AND size.

I'm also concerned with quality... I've heard the Shure's are good on quality, but the Klipsch's have a wire that some think are too thin & flimsy.

I haven't heard the 310's but I owned the older 3 series. If the 310 sound anything like them, then the X10 is a no brainer. I heard them at CanJam '08 and thought they were excellent. The older 3 series was very lean sounding to my ears.

The 310's are actually high rated; I've seen review sites putting them ahead of the 420's and 530's. It must be a matter of personal taste though because I see almost everyone leaning towards the 530's.
Tyrion, how's the noise reduction on the X10's?

I would go for the image10x without having heard either of the sets, I own a shure e3c set, and while it provides decent sound, its not great, and I almost prefer other sets(sony mdrex71sl akgk324p) to it, so that should say something, either about me or the shure set

The klipsch is supposed to be very good, and that is half price remember, so its a whole different priceclass, should therefore also be a different audioclass

Good luck!

go for the image x10 since u like trance and rock. i tried the se310 and i definitely find them lacking in bass. the image x10 are suppose to have more bass than sleek audio sa6, and i find the sa6 has a lot more bass than the se310. the se310 are more for lighter music that arent as bass oriented. they have a punch to it, but its not that powerful IMO.

Write up a solid review on the Klipsch Image, compare them to other in ears.

Wow. Everyone recommended the Klipsch! So I'll definitely get those, and write up a review WITH pictures when I get them to give everyone a better idea of how they fit, etc.
I won't be able to compare them to other earphones because the only other ones I have are SkullCandy IEM's and iPod earphones, which are both HORRIBLE.
