Hey guys,

I am currently using the short comply tips that came with my UM1s. I've been reading and hearing that the SHURE black olive foamies are really good so i want to give them a try.

I was wondering which size for the shure foamies would be comparable to the short comply's?

Any insight would be appreciated!

I've never tried the short complys but I have a pair of long/regular complies right here in front of me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the only difference between the short and long is their length - that their diameter is identical. Assuming that is true, then the medium sized black olive foamies are a good match because they are identical in diameter. And the good news for you is that all sizes of olive foamies are short in length, just like your complies!
(Personally, I wish the olives came in a long size as well)

BTW, I wonder if anyone uses the large size olives... they're so thick it feels like my ears are giving birth.

Small Complys and medium olives are the same, just about. I have both, and eyeballed them on the desk. The small Shures (I have those too) are smaller (shorter) than the Comply smalls, and a little thinner.

I have a pair of Westone UM2s and have used complys and shure olives(small and medium). The complys are still the most comfortable. The medium olives look to be about the same size as the complys, but feel bigger in my ear. They weren't comfortable after long listening periods. I finally got some small olives and they are perfect for me. They feel SLIGHTLY smaller than the complys, but I still get good isolation.

My medium shure foamies just arrived and theyre almost exactly same size as small complys. May feel a little bigger because they dont compress as easily, but feel great still!
