My Shure SE846 is shorting out in my right ear while listening. If I put light pressure in a certain way I can replicate it, if I put more pressure it goes away but it's still intermittent.
Is the problem my Shure SE846 or my ALO silver litz cable? My Andromeda is very durable, I'm on my second pair of se846. I don't think I'm under warranty, and when I had problems in the past it was easier to return and rebuy than to get shure or the dealer to answer my questions.
I can't possibly be the first to complain about a loose MMCX connection. I like my se846 a lot, but I don't want to purchase a new one with an unreliable design.
When searching the forum I came across a broken link about how they fixed it (which I can't read), and some advice where shure offered a 50% discount on replacing the broken set, and about pushing the internal pin off center.
Does anyone have solid advice? Does Shure participate here?
