After having tested the 3 first "low cost" cables, I ended-up with the (much)more expensive 16 brained Brimar.

I never believed I will say this but... I can really ear an improvement with the brimar !

Whereas Schiit uses software tightly integrated with specialized hardware, I hear that Chord is almost entirely about proprietary software. Would that make it easier for Shure to license their IP?

I don't think Shure has any incentive to add a new dac. Will sales increase? I doubt it. That's why I got the KSE 1200 and not the 1500.

I would like an update to the earphones...

I believe there's effect from even so short cable.
More or less depending on $$$$.
Bcs I dont have high cost I.C (my I.C is $160) I dont know how much the effect. But I believe base on mine I.Cs

Any one use a arm-band like solution for carying Kse?
Thinking how not to forget my kse somewhere again.
I think a combo kse-sp1k on the arm is not so comfort but avoid the forget case

I use large velcro fixed on the back of the DAP and of the back of the KSE.

If I have a spkM the shorter amp will match the size.

Ps. I found a strange thing : the color of white plastic inside nemo plug (earpiece) will change to darker after 1st use. Both 1500 and 1200

What falls short for you right now?
I would like a revised/updated earphone for both 1500 and 1200. Maybe a better fit and stronger materials. I'm always afraid I'm going to break them.

:)

hi from where can i buy the silicon olive tips, i see them on ebay but def they are not like the shure ones.

i like to keep a spare just in case

regular iems are light years behind the sound quality of the kse 1500, listening to marianne faithful latest album on kse1500 is dam amazing, this is the only iem i can say that sound so close to full size headphone, close to my stax 007 mk2 but more neutral and balanced and in a great way

My unit amp 1500 v.s 1200, 1500 has more sound stage zone.
May be it comes from service life: 1200 new and 1500 is year of use.
Bass of 1200 is more solid than 1500

Hi guys, have a question hope someone has some input. I’ve got a shure kse1500 now considering custom sleeve for them. I’ve looked at Snugs and Senaphonics was wondering how they compare? I doubt someone has both but wonder if there’s a general opinion. Also I’ve never had silicon how well does it hold up? Also does the clear color discolor eventually or should I go with a solid color?

A perfect match in size.
Shalling m2s is not much layering each instrument, but it is not so importance for kse1200.
Thick and full, it makes some tracks on this are better than on my spk.

Hi folks! Going to be a new KSE1200 owner soon, my unit is on the way. Excited! I'm a long time SE846 user. I've read a lot of positive things from who have made the same Shure upgrade. Not getting rid of the SE846. Got Shure's BT2 cable, and they're going to be on there full-time now, as my dedicated wireless solution.

Going to be pairing the KSE1200 amp with the Mojo and iFI Micro iDSD BL (and maybe LG G8 if I decide to get it). Question is what short 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable are you guys using and recommend? I have a Fiio L16 laying around, which I think would perform well. I take it that the one Shure includes in the box isn't recommended? Not looking to spend a ridiculous amount on a little cable, I know cable costs can get crazy. Probably something like $50 tops.

Thanks!
