Shure E500/E530 Cable Poll

I'd put myself down for having a faulty E500 wire, but where's the poll?

EDIT: Sorry, it's been a long day

nabwong, I don't know whether to be jealous that you stole my poll idea, or grateful that somebody finally posted this! I will be very curious to see how the results stack up. The results from our small sample size of respondents can be extrapolated to give a general idea of the percentage of faulty cables. Shure claims this is a small problem.... let's see...

Unfortunately, one can only vote one time. I have had three instances of cables hardening. Two of breaking.

So please all those who vote, post in this thread also:

1) Number of brakes
2) Shure product owned
3) Length of time before brake
4) Whether you sweat with them or what not...

Aw, don't be jealous. 2 reasons why i did this.

1. Was curious as i am a e500 owner

2. Between 1-5pm at work, i was just staring at the screen at work surfing the net. LOL

I just got my E500 about 2 weeks ago so I am not going to vote yet. I'll hunt for this thread after I've used them for a few or several months and then vote. Of course, at the moment, they are fine.

This means that your cable has a very good chance of breaking. The point is, the cable shouldn't get hard in the first place. That's the biggest issue, and, in my eyes, the main reason Shure should redesign the cable.
