Well I had a nice thing going & Jude kind of took the wind out of my sales. (hehe) But not one to be easily discouraged I created what I hoped would be a threat of equal or bigger proportions. This one.

There is going to be a flood of chat about these new canalphones in the next few days, weeks & months, and I wanted to create a central thread for the madness to revolve around. Post anything & everything about the E4C, wheather you have it or not, here. Is yours shipping? When will you get it? How is the packaging? How much did it cost you? DO you hate everyone that ordered the white ones because they are all a bunch of no-life-having-Steve-Jobbs-loving-popularity-whores? DId your husband freak out when he found out you spent that much? Does your grandma like their sound. DId your dog eat them. How are those hgihs anyway. Its all going to go right here, if everybody wants it to go here anyway.

I can't wait to hear what everyone thinks about these exciting new entrys into the Head-Fi communitys possesion list. So here we go people, hold on to something because this is going to be a wild ride...

Hmm, a new FOTM?

I just ordered mine from Todd the Vinyl Junkie.

I was gonna wait until we saw tons of them pop up on the for sale forums, but my Sensaphonics needed to go back to Chicago for repairs. I figured I'd only be saving maybe $30 or $40 bux at most anyway...

Best,

-Jason

I love this guy, this Jason fellow. He doesn't have his high priced canalphones for a week & he goes out and buys new ones. Nevermind that his sensaphonics are no doubt gone for more than a week, I just want to be able to buy something that way.

Probably pretty good, judging by the fact that they are only canalphones and dont require nearly as much power as full sized phones. Amps improve everything though, even if it is only slightly.
I have a feeling this will be a long, long thread.

My ETY -4s require an amp. I would like to use these straight out of an I river 140. Yes it will be a long thread with a hot new product. People will have numerous questions and will receive varying opinions. I have a feeling it will be hot in Florida in the summer

I'm holding on to read the reviews of both the E4c's and the UE Super Fi EB's before I commit. This will be my first venture into canal phones and I want maximum detail but plenty of bass.

My question... with the E4c's at 29 ohms - 109 db sensitivity @ $299, and the Super Fi's at 11 ohms - 119 db sensitivity @ $199... arn't the UE's worth holding on for?

Having said that the E4c's are real lookers!

abufaris...i don't think you can tell how good a pair of canalphones are just by lookin at the ohms and dbs??? but nobody knows yet how good e4s are compare to superfis yet...you'll have to wait til june when superfis are out

also the street price for e4cs are $199...

I am with jagger333 on this one, I am waiting impatiently

for some comparisons between the superfi's and the E4's

I currently have the ER6i's so a report saying that either of the above blows my ety's out of the water would be nice too.

I am due to go on holiday in June and now looks like I will have to wait until after I am back to make my final decsion

Oh well

There we go somebody that actually is going to be getting them. Make sure you take the pics before you open it, or at least some of them. Show how it is packed & the condition it is in when you take it out of the box. That is if you want to, I'm not commanding you to do anything of course.

bvic01, how much did you pay for your Shure E4C?
