Any suggestions about what to do regarding lack of sound coming from right ear channel? From an Ipod there is absolutely no sound. From my Mac I hear a very faint sound with a bit of crackling noise. I've looked in there and didn't see any wax build up. I still tried cleaning it though with the tool that came with it.

Is there anything else I can do to trouble shoot, or is it DEAD?

Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks guys!

What was the condition of your E3s when you bought them? Have you possibly mistreated them by any chance?

Could be wire, driver or filter, but nothing is replaceable on the E3s. Do you have other headphones to make sure that its not the sources' fault?

Wrong section of the forums. This belongs in headphones section.

Anyhow, I think there might be moisture in the drivers so try this and tell me if it works:
Roll up a tiny piece of toilet paper and put it in the tubing of the side which is not working. If there is moisture in there, it should clear it away and should work again.

If it doesn't work, I assume you'll need to get it in for repair.

Thanks for the feedback. I bought them new and they worked well for a couple years now, no problem. My Grados work fine, so I know it isn't the source. Could be moisture though, so I'll try the tissue suggestion. I didn't know that there were no replacables on the E3.

Sorry about the mix-up on the board, I guess being a newbee I'm a bit confused.

Also try blowing the driver out with some compressed air... try to do it gently. My brother's right driver sounded very muffled for a while, and i blew it out, the problem fixed itself... Nothing came out o_O

i bet for water, or an "ipod issue."

the idea of sticking something IN the tubes freaks me out a bit. i would jsut let them sit in a warm and prefereably dry room for a few days. a room that recieves direct sunkight, but keep the headphoens out of the light if possible.

There is a protective covering. It doesn't directly touch the drivers themselves. That's why I recommended it.
