I just got my first pair and they sound amazing. One thing though, I plug it into my laptop and I hear a pssssssssssssssssssssh sound and the volume is all the way down or on mute. this normal?

Unfortunatelly on low quality headphone out jacks, yes.



Lower the volume knob on your lappy, also in windows sound config, also lower main volume to about 25%, and keep WAVE volume at 100%.

Use the volume knob on the lappy to adjust volume later. This should help minimize the hiss.

you have an impedence mis-match.
e2cs are 16 ohms and very sensitive, so any hiss will easily get picked up by the e2c.

Try an impedence adapter~100 ohms... works wonders for my hissy amps with my e2c.
