They're listed as E2c on the Shure web site, but a lot of retailers list only "E2." Are they the same?

Yes, they certainly are. Actually, at the Shure site, they are called by both names.

They are most definitely the same. Only the packaging it comes in is different. All the accessories are the same for both.
