Last week my beloved E4s broke, one of the cords leading to the earpieces finally snapped, after getting worn more and more for the last half year.
Unfortunate, they were bought in august 2005, so past the 2 year warrant and besides I could'n find the invoice. I phoned and mailed the Dutch distributor who said they couldn't do anything for me, so then I contacted Shure Europe, the importer, in Germany.
They said sent it in.
So this morning I was just about getting ready to go to the postoffice, complete with a letter with me offering to pay for shipping and other extra costs when the doorbell rang.
Imagine my utter and happy surprise when I was handed a brandnew set of e4s!!! Without any additional costs!
What an incredible act of good faith and excellent customer service.
And the funny thing is, is there was one thing wrong with my old grey e4s IMO is that the cord was a little too long. Now I have the black E4s with shorter cord. I didn't dare to ask for that, but this is exactly what I wanted. Magical!
They look even better too.
I'll sent the phones in anyway, for their administration, with a well-deserved warm thank-you letter.
Thank you, Shure, I'm really happy.
