Hi and thank you for looking into this post.  I recently picked up the Shure 1440 and am looking to setup a proper method to amp.  My head is spinning after reading this post http://www.fixup.net/talk/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=56 and this post http://www.head-fi.org/t/607282/headphone-amp-impedance-matching-basics-you-need-to-know.  I just really don't know what I need anymore.  I was thinking of going with the http://www.jdslabs.com/item.php?fetchitem=O2Full&gclid=COKUkLq_wrICFelFMgod3AIAog from a review I read that used them with the headphones the problem with that is I would need something to go in-between my computer and the Objective2 amp.  So what I know; the Shure 1440 are low impedance. The mystery is are they efficient or inefficient (what does this mean) headphones? and the biggest question what amp or dac or both would be reasonable to drive them.
