The very rare 1961 NOS Amperex 1000B Rectifier "Frosty" Tube w/Black Ceramic Plate Anode Cap and included socket saver. That must have set you back a pretty penny.

Where the $$$ comes in is the liquid getter solution inside Frosty. That's why there is no 'halo' / 'D' / 'square' / 'windmill' getter holder -- along the inside or up top. Also, despite being a Frosty, since it is used at 'room temperature', cryogenic treatment was needed to make Frosty 'feel at home'. This was: more $$$. 🤷🏻‍♂️

A rare find indeed, glad you are keeping frosty nice and cool with that cryogenic treatment! Probably worth the money with the extended life of him.
