Love him! I had a female Am Staff "Angel" (yours is a Mastiff? I had a Mastiff/Boxer cross too) with the same black brindle in the 80's and 90's. Lived until she was 16. Pretty mellow except when strangers were in the yard or at the door at night. Holy Cow. Had a mistake liter with my red Dobie "Boris". Some of the more amazing athletes I've seen.

Met a Cano Corso only once. One of few dogs that could break me of my lifelong passion for Bullmastiffs
Thanks..Orfeo (Cane Corso) was not a peoples dog but had a very special bond with my dad when he got Alzheimers..
Slava was my most athletic dog I had..miss him very much, bin almost a year now, feels like yesterday

Like Slava. He looks a bit like a black and tan coonhound. Good nose dogs.

My last dog "Barney" was half red bone coonhound and half ridgeback. Handsome dog. Not too bright - except with stealing food. He one time grabbed a 23 lb stuffed turkey off the serving plate off a dining room table in a large room with 20 people in it - 4 sworn to watch him at every moment. He let himself outside with the bird firmly in his mouth and took it to his tree stump hangout. He had eaten about 3 lbs of it before we got to him. We almost put him on the spit after that. When he was 10 mos old he grabbed a 4 lb turkey breast off a kitchen cabinet that was 4' tall and almost 5' back without making a sound. He ate the whole thing in less than :90 seconds and I hunted around and gave my family the 3rd degree looking for it. I smelled his breath and then it was clear, we were in trouble.
