Portable? Never although I have been gifted some items retailing >$500 but not a lot at that. My Opus # 1 is my most expensive DAP and my IMR Opus Mia's are my most expensive iem's along with the CA's. I stick to my guns on what I'd pay for any single portable piece of equipment

Now home gears are a whole nutha story LOL If you re familiar with home gears you'll see a >$20K rig here but once again having a close friend as a rep I shaved those corners as well And this is before I replaced the Thorens seen with the Well-Tempered Amadeus GTA

The best sub-$50 IEM (in my humble estimation), now joined by the best budget cable. MMCX sockets on the TA1 are snug and secure; the stock cable got a bit swivel-happy on the right side after a couple of weeks but I'm glad to report that it is a stock cable issue and not a flaw with the IEMs themselves.
