Here’s my situation:
I’m building a home theater in my garage. I’m in the framing stage and have always thought it would be a good idea to have 1 or 2 headphone jacks right next to the seating area so I don't have to run a cable across the room. If you look at the drawing below, I would be putting the headphone jacks in, or building the amp into, the riser of the platform between the 2 chairs. At this point I can run any type of wire/cable from the equipment room to this location for the headphone jacks or amp. Question: Should I use a headphone amp for this or just run wire for 2 jacks? I like the idea of having the amp so I can switch to headphone mode remotely (I won't have to plug anything at the preamp end). I ran across this one and it looks decent for what I want to do. Welcome to Electric-Avenues.com - More About The Portable Headphones Amplifier (PA2V2) Any advice or input is appreciated.
