Hi everyone! I use a m-audio fast track audio interface to listen to music from my laptop and I wanted to know if buying a dac/amp like the Fiio e10k or the Smsl m3 would make a difference for listening to music. My headphones are Sennheiser HD 598 and I only listen to FLAC 44 to 96 kHz. Thank you.

Not a fan of SMSL's quality control.
I'm not the expert, but i'm guessing the E10K would not offer any noticeable improvement.
But not sure which model of M-Audio Interface you have

It's called "Fast Track". I don't think it's meant to be used to listed to music but I've never tried a proper dedicated dac.

Both the M-Audio and E10k have a USB connection, a DAC function, a line-output function and a headphone jack.
So they are in some ways alike.
