Should I keep Vista or reinstall XP?

To the op...how will you be using this laptop? With vista you will take a slight hit to your battery. XP benchmarks better and is snappier in almost every way (excluding dx10). You can make vista pretty quick if you strip it down a bit with an app like vlite (vista version of nlite). Vista is purtty.

I've been wanting to build a new PC for a while now, but Vista is the main detriment that's causing me to hold off. Like in this thread, I've heard countless issues along with slow/unstable gaming performance. Were it not for DX10 and possibly Aero, what would be the point? Guess I'll just have to wait until they iron out all the glitches, might be another year or so, a shame since Intel just launched those new cores : P
