I finally made decision after excessive reserch from reviews based on Web and Head-fi, I ordered Q-jays 2weeks ago from HeadRoom for $180 with shipping.

But!! they said that new batches including foalmies are coming Mid March, and then they are going to ship it out on Mid March which means I'm going to get it on End of March.. ah....

I found another Canadian Website, STEREOTYPE AUDIO that have stock for Q-jays, but They sell it for $200 CAD with shipping, and they can ship it out right now, but it's previous batch without the foamies.

I don't want to wait for 50days for my Q-jays, since I wanna listen to music while I'm snowboarding every weekend.

So here are questions.

1. Should I wait for new batch for headroom that is coming next month with Foamies? Headroom's return policy and customer service seems really great!! would you wait 50days for only foamies?

2. Risking Canadian website's return policies, (they don't seem like they have good return policy like headroom. they said that "to obtain warranty service", I need to contact the product manufacturer directly)

and costing $10 more, should I order them now?

Please help head-fi!!

Thanks!!

I am in a the same boat, and I'm minutes away from going to snag two pairs of Q-Jays in black for 189 each here in Ottawa. What I really want are the Klipsch Custom 3's (299$ USD) I really wish the Jays already included the foamies.

But,no one,in Canada has them (C1/2/C3's),will carry them (seemingly) or,even know what IEM's are ! Its nuts.

You arguing on 10$ for some foamies? Look, get them now, and when the foamies are ready to ship, you can buy them if You feel to need them. Anyway, in 50 days You can save some money for some foamies if it really matters.

I had to wait 2 weeks for my q-Jay to be in stock and order, and I already was frantic.

Now I'm totally ok, the doctor said.

The silicon tips are fine for me. Really, I don't see how foam could be that much better and while I can understand that some people would be worried about fitting issues the amount of tips that the q-JAYS comes with should ease your mind, especially if you have small ears. Jays support is also amazing, our friend here at Head-Fi has answered all of my questions and has provided the best customer service for any product I've ever bought. Plus, they have a 2 year warranty so if anything happens to them you could always return them and have the new ones sent to you.

LOL everybody understands that why I want Q-jays pretty bad, it's all head-fi's fault for destroying my wallet. They said that it's now CAD $200 for shipping from Canada. hmm.. I'll cancel my order and get them now anyways.
Does anybody knows that on new batch of Q-jays will be different other than that fomies are included? or different quality of package or more sleeves,or filters etc...?

Anyways, Thank you for making me decide! you guys are the best!

I saw you post and it looks pretty cool that foamies are protecting phones.
But...I'm not very engineer or technic like you.... I'm not good at drilling and stuff.

yeah!! I agree on being frantic about Q-jays...

It's not about 10 dollors more, nor foamies...

It's about warranty and return policy of that site.. but anyways..

I'll give it a try and order it!! I don't know about website's warranty, but I heard all the good things about Jays' 2years warranty!

Thanks

I'd wait myself cuz if any of the tips dont work and you need the foamies you end up ordering again and waiting again.

Just a thought hehehe

if you get them can you tell us or at least me how they sound to you?

I personally advise not canceling and to keep your initial order with Headroom. I understand that it can be difficult waiting, the choice is yours though.

The q-JAYS are covered by the manufacturer's 2 year limited warranty. Warranty service in Canada is carried out by Atlantia, the Canadian JAYS distributor in North Vancouver. Our customers have the choice of sending defective units back to us which we will then forward along, or directly to Atlantia after a RMA number is provided.

Best,
Kev
