I can't decide between the two. They're around the same price (approx $65) with the hd 228's on sale. I'll be using them both at home and heading to school (maybe around campus too). I heard that the 228's have good isolation but reviews on them are only average (apparently sound quality sucks?). On the other hand I've heard very good things about the px-100's. I'd go with the latter but I'm worried they might leak too much on the bus/metro. Anyone know which is better for me? thanks

If you are going to walk around is use it a lot outside then go for the hd228's. They will provide better isolation than the px100's which are open headphones. I have the 228's myself and they don't leak as much once you get them to fit on your head properly.

However, the px100's are known for their quality of sound. So, you gotta weigh which is more of a necessity, isolation or quality and then make your decision.

Or you got get both

Hope this somewhat helps.
