(Scroll down to the Sharp section, the models are there)

Until today I have been unaware of these models, so I wonder if they're pretty new.

The MT80/88/90/99 have been suggested of sharing the 821's screen, and thus possibly sharing the 821's innards. The MT190's description (in Thai) includes words like "Li-ion" and "14.5", which seems to suggest that it's based on the...831!

Which had 14.5-hour playback on Li-ion battery alone. The 821/831's rechargeable battery is used for Zaurus PDA's, so they're very much "current".

So this could effectively be an MDLP-capable 831, an idea that's pretty interesting for me.

If you don't mind grey market stuff, I'm sure the MT770(MT888) is close to that 227-buck level in Bangkok, instead of the price you see here.
