This is a very good unit -- especially for $100! (Initial price was $250) I'm tempted to buy one myself

Weird, the pics show that it comes with earbuds, but the unit I got about 2 weeks ago came with a very flimsy/crappy folding vertical headphones (also pictured in an icon on the side of the box, along with icons of other included accessories).

With the MD-MT90, I find I actually have to use the Bass 1 (1 of 3) setting to get bass I'm used to hearing from the same headphones out of a CDP or soundcard through an amp. Otherwise, it just doesn't seem like there's any/much bass - for example, my Grados had no impact with the Bass Off setting.

Hmmm.... I have this unit and don't have the bass boost on when listening with Grados on, and I get enough bass. Just more proof of different ears for different people.

This is indeed a good unit for $100. If you don't care about MDLP, this unit must be seriously considered.

Just saying that the default equalization of the output is very different in bass from what I hear from a PCDP or soundcard, through the same amp with the same headphones.
