is this a good minidisc as far as sound

I have the DR7 which is the Japanese version of the DR480 (same thing, different label). I'd say its the best sound of any minidisc that I've heard - most clarity and also the best bass. I think most minidisc users seem to agree that its probably the best one out there, sound-wise.

If you want a a message board that's minidisc-specific, check out http://www.minidisct.com/forum. It probbaly the busiest minidic message board. Use the search function there and look for comments/reviews of the DR7, which is the model number that most people call it.

Mine went CLUNK onto the concrete. Not even a scratch. It's play button is dodgy though.. I think there's a hair under it, or something..

I have the DR7, the play button is a bit dodgy...it's reaction time seems slow and the volume buttons seem to get reversed...i've owned the unit for only two weeks! Maybe i should contact Audiocubes, what do you guys think?

my unit did that ol' shift thing after 2 months. I think it might be dust/hair related. :\.

dry blowing on the controls.. it seemed to help with my unit.
